Working class london is finished.I don't know a pub that survives on a council estate.SW London is great but no normal person can afford to live there.
My old manor Streatham a 2up 2 down now costs £550000.Thats why I live in devon the quality of life and schools are exceptional also I can afford a beer.COYP.

I certainly prefer being among people of my own race, language, culture and religion. What's wrong with that? Don't you?

While you're free to have a bee in your bonnet over race, no funnily enough race doesn't dictate who I want to be around.

Funnily enough my parents have decided to call it a day round these parts- though they are neither cool or creative.

They've decided to move down to the south coast, not Br*ghton though haha, because they are done with the rat race and the rip of nature of living round these parts.

I for one totally applaud it and in all honesty, im tempted to try the commute myself for a fortnight to see how it works out because I could see myself following them down there!

Steptoe will now imply that you and your parents are racists. (Don't worry though, the term is meaningless these day.)

You're the one saying that race is a major factor in where you choose to live. It is what it is.

Haha they live in Shirley anwyay so to be honest it wont be too much different in Hastings Bournemouth etc.

I on the other hand in West Croydon will move because I'm fed up with people here s***ting on their own doorstep, which is shared with me. Just today I have seen a Polish couple dump a load of dismantled Ikea furniture in road. Yesterday it was someone else just dumping domestic rubbish outside the communal area and kids smashing up all the plants with footballs despite it being no games allowed. People just don't seem to give a crap and a once nice development is now degenerating rapidly. People in smaller communities seem to care more and that will my motivation for going.

Wow steptoe, you must be a really great person. Personally, i prefer to fraternize with those who contribute to and understand the english culture, not those simply trying to benefit from it. London's 'creativity and cool' is diminsihing at the same time as the white briton population is dwindling. Coincidence?
