Any update on Jeremy Corbyn's announcement praising the RAF yet?

He is going to issue an apology to ISIS for the loss of one of his 'friends'.

Or hold a minutes silence as he did for the IRA.

I cannot understand why Cameron said these guys were targeted - with inevitable claims of political assassination and already the legal vultures readying million pound claims on behalf of the distraught families. Better surely to just report that three UK citizens has been killed as collateral damage in a strike. Can only assume intended to warn off others that they could well expect the same treatment - but risky politically.

This is not Bush/Blair and Iraq. This is about national security and if it prevents ANY terror atrocities anywhere in the world then long may it continue. If you want to gun down defenceless people sitting on a beach, or hack to death a young man like Lee Rigby in the most horrific way imaginable, or indeed subscribe to those views, in my book you deserve all that is coming your way and stuff the niceties or legality of it.

Gunning down innocent people on a beach? Isn't that also an Israeli tactic? Should we send in drones?

Does it really matter as long as they are not around to kill and maim people. Lets hope a few more go the same way. At least our prime minister had the guts to OK the drone strikes where the labourites just want to sweep it under the table. They should be ashamed of themselves as due to their vote against Syrian strikes there are thousands and thousands of people fleeing their country and invading the European union!

Yeah it does matter, because sooner or later if you don't follow your own rules you end up defining targets in looser and looser sense, and you're killing people who might or might not be the enemy or you think probably are.

Look at the US and its torture, abduction and detention of suspected Terrorists. It went very quickly from 'key known targets' to people who just had the misfortunate to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time or have similar names.

Nothing against killing the right people. It just that when the state sponsors the assassination of individual in another country, its probably better to have good though oversight and confirmation, than to just give them a free hand and take their word for it.

When someone acts in self defense, we expect them to demonstrate it was reasonable to do so. So to the state.

Just Out of curiosity what who's side are you on????

The side that doesn't end up having to pretend its right because it killed less innocent people than the other side. Or had to rename torture 'intensive interrogation' and hidden its own failings behind an abuse of National Security laws.

I mean its not like we didn't go down this 'Trust the Intelligence, Trust my word' route with Tony Blair and the Iraq war; and that was a resounding success.

But sure, lets just trust Cameron and co, and the Intelligence agencies word for it.

I did not ask for your book on "I am always right and what I say goes" the simple question was "What side are you on" which has two answers. 1. On the side of our state security or 2. On the side of the killers? Simples!!!

As you can see from my earlier contribution, personally I have zero sympathy for those taken out by this. However, there are multiple ways of looking at these events and this fellow has fleshed out his interpretation. To state once "what side are you on?" is ridiculous but twice is pushing it. Just because someone holds a different view it doesn't mean that they are on the side of extremists and killers. He's hardly said anything that's 'out there'. It holds together as a position.

What's the difference? Lefties are going to moan about it anyway.

What about the fact that policy was changed because of the petitions over Syrian refugees?

Whatever the circumstances behind the drone strike, we will probably never know. Cameron stated he took legal advice and was informed it was allowable as an act of self defence.

I don't care about the rights or wrongs the lefties are wetting their knickers about, two terrorists are now dead, and that is a good result. May there be many more.

Rest in pieces, scum

They murder innocents a-plenty in the socialist republics of Cuba and North Korea.

You should consider using em as a basis of comparison in future.

Looks like the drone is already here with your predictable, diversionary anti-Israel comment.
