Pioneers in electric vehicles too! It's all about long life milk. I love to laugh at all the people panic buying fresh milk in local shops after so much as a snowflake has settled. Optimistic as ever

We gave up the milkman 20 odd years ago when we both worked full time and the milk would sit on our south facing doorstep from 10am till 5pm. Gone off by next morning! Now buy Cravendale - lasts ages. Our neighbour still has one pint a day delivered. Milkman drives all the way up our close to deliver just one pint! Same neighbour also has Sainsbury deliver all their food every week.(except the milk!)

We gave up the milkman 20 odd years ago when we both worked full time and the milk would sit on our south facing doorstep from 10am till 5pm. Gone off by next morning! Now buy Cravendale - lasts ages.
Our neighbour still has one pint a day delivered. Milkman drives all the way up our close to deliver just one pint! Same neighbour also has Sainsbury deliver all their food every week.(except the milk!)

The milkman's pay was subsidised by fiddling the customer's bills and tips.

On our round from West St to St John's Rd in Wrythe Green Carshalton we had about 10 houses where you had a cup of tea.... I used to get about £2 in tips and 10 bob off of Bill the Milky... good money in them days.
