Chelsea will have a say where remy goes and may feel West Ham doesn't suit them. Why would they help out a club that could be competing with them for the top four?

Not strictly true, the player has the final say in any transfer/loan deal.

Playing Devils advocate I'm sure they remember what happened the last time they loaned us a player !

Yes, indeed, but that young Bamford is far from (former) abilities of Loic Rémy.
Sanogo from Arsenal was the 'nadir' and to be honest that Patrick Bamford had never played in EPL before joining us. He is not comparable to Remy, imho.

This is not a Bamford situation where they want the player to have game time. They just want his off the books but yes we are a lesser threat to them than West Ham are.

I'm not sure he played much more for Norwich (I may be mistaken) than he did for us. I think Chelsea would quite happily cut there losses with him now!
Remy will get a lot of game time (fitness permitting) this season and hopefully we'll want to pay £10m for him in 12 months as a result!

If Remy is looking for a possible permanent move at the end of the season then surely us over the Spammers ? They have a striker injury crisis, with Ayew and Carroll both crocked, as well as Sakho. He would go there but they would likely return him at the end of the season, as they would have to off load first.

Can't really understand what the benefit is of loaning Remy rather than buying him outright? We still have to pay his wages either way but can sell him on or loan him out if he's contracted to us. It's not as though he's an unknown. Surely, it saves money in the long run?

No point in keeping the redecorating fund in the bank. Let's use that until we get the builders in.

It allows us to basically have him on a trial period for a year, if he performs and scores goals we buy him, if he doesn't we don't and save 10 mil.
