Won't happen, not in a million years.

When are you Remain benders going to just settle down and accept that we're leaving and that the whole EU thing is a busted flush?

We will never surrender cucking, we will fight them (i.e. brexiteers) on the beaches....etc......

UK economy grows. Brexit doesn't appear to be derailing the economy.

Good to see you on here with a sense of humour johnny!

Unlike that other clown on here who purported to be an economic student at LSE and was predicting armageddon post brexit.... he's run home to mummy I guess?

LOL

I attended a session led by a senior Risk figure for a major UK bank this week. One of the keynote statements arising from the session was:

"All this stuff in the papers about the economy showing that it's resisted post-Brexit vote pressures and is thriving is absolute, total codswallop."

I won't bore readers with all the evidential reasons, because if you believe the papers rather than industry risk experts with 25+ years of experience, then you simply don't care about the facts.

Best judged years after Brexit has actually taken place. The market perception of its impact now is not a crystal ball.

of course. The banking industry is totally scrupulous and we should blindly accept their views on everything.

The scales have been lifted from my eyes. Thank you.

That's because Brexit hasn't even started yet.

I would think that the impact of exit will not even begin to show up until next year. Forecasters have already downgraded growth estimates for 2017 from 2.1% to 0.6%. Lower growth by as much as 5% over the first five years is likely, in my view.

In terms of such a momentous change, the short-term economic impact should be judged over a 5 year period after Article 50 is triggered, with long term impact over a period of 15 years plus.

Consequently, a majority of exit voters will either be dead or sitting in a care home smelling of wee before the true impact of their decision is apparent!

Well you could speed this up and increase the dire predictions manifold and make them more certain by voting in a Corbyn government.

Risk professionals are very scrupulous; I know plenty, do you? CEOs on the other hand......but I'm not quoting CEOs.

I'm impressed that you now set such store by organs such as the BBC, which I understood you thought to be a peddler of leftie propaganda - it's their story you're using as the illustrator, isn't it?

If you are so certain of these professionals' lack of integrity, I suggest you put the house on futures that favour your viewpoint - you will clean up.
