An unusually forthright Angele Merkel who clearly has had enough of Brexit and the UK.

Unless the UK revokes then hopefully it is over.

It is more likely an extension will be offered, but 3 months is no help, really at least 2/4 years are necessary to let the UK have its elections and referendums.

A fundamental independent review of brexit to discover what its aims are and if they are deliverable, as most normal businesses do before a new project.

Really, funnily enough I heard a report today, that 100,000 German car workers are seriously pissed off because they might lose their jobs..unless Merkel and her franco buddies get it sorted.

The Schengen Area has been in place since 1995. Being able to move freely between France and Belgium is nothing new. The UK has never been in Schengen.

Britain has turned against Brexit and would now vote to stay in the European Union, according to the biggest ever poll-of-polls.

The YouGov analysis for the Evening Standard of 300 surveys shows “concrete” evidence that the country shifted against quitting the European bloc in the year after the June 2016 referendum and has steadfastly stuck to this position ever since.

One of the most striking findings is that 204 out of 226 polls since July 2017 have shown Remain ahead, with just seven for Leave, and 15 ties.

Since July 2017 the public has wanted to remain in the EU.

Why can parliament simply not admit it and end the whole disaster?

Oh well never mind.
We are still leaving, get over it steeleye.
What's done is done and will still be done.

Poverty is not the root cause. The black community and white liberal apologists like you are.

There are plenty of p@ss poor white, Indian, Chinese and Polish kids, however they generally don't go round carrying knives.

Its a culture fing, innit?

An incoherent argument written by someone whose views stop an open debate.

First Poverty, then culture. There's still crime surrounding white and Asian kids from poor backgrounds, it's just different. Working class white boys are still the biggest underachieving groups in school and pretty disenfranchised - in the 80's they were regularly associated with hooliganism.

Polish kids are mostly 1st generation immigrants. There's been falls in crime around areas of big eastern European immigration, mainly because people move because they have aspirations of improving there lives thus making them less likely to be involved in crime.

The biggest factor in youth knife crime is a lack of responsible adult supervision in their lives. With the kids most likely to do the stabbing, all so most likely to end up as a victim. Nobody to ask them where they are going, who they are going with and certainly not preventing them from going out with a weapon. Is that poverty? I guess of a kind but this ain't about money per se.

That is why the link with school expulsion is so hyped up. Definitely a factor but more a symptom of the underlying cause than anything else. Kids from dysfunctional backgrounds are likely to have behaviour issues in school. Definitely one way of identifying the kids most at risk but not the actual reason for the violence.

But nobody in public service is likely to make a stand for traditional family values are they? That actually having a mum and dad at home is the ideal for society to promote.

Poor white kids in Glasgow were killing each in silly numbers and something was done about it. Poor black kids in London don't seem to matter as much.

That is real racism. Actual discrimination based on skin colour alone. And those responsible for that the ones most likely to accuse others of the 'R' word.

Funny old world.

1985 actually. Not signing up to Schengen and not joining the Euro are probably the best decisions ever taken regarding the EU (except voting to leave of course).
The way Schengen visas work is appalling. For example, a Colombian national wants a visa to enter Europe, he applies to the Polish/Hungarian or whoever Embassy. They grant him a visa and that entitles him to enter ANY Schengen country, ie they know he has not intention of remaining in their country so they have no issue with granting him a visa

And still the number one destination is here once they get into Europe.

Probably because the EU countries are not stupid enough to pile housing benefit, child benefit, free healthcare etc etc etc upon them.

Yep. So can you imagine what would have happened had we signed up to Schengen! Mr Polowski of the Polish Embassy issues a Schengen visa to Senor Gomes and his 5 dependents to visit Poland....oh wait they want to go to the UK instead, that's ok, of course you can courtesy of Poland.

You are absolutely correct.

Crime is associated with every colour, creed and ethnicity. Certain crime (like you mention white kids and football violence) are prevalent with certain groups.

Knife crime is a black thing.

Has nothing to do with poverty, all to do with culture, lack of values and sh@t parenting.

This discussion was about illegal immigration and whether ending free movement would impact that. It wasn't just about the merits, or not, of free movement.

If these "scum" are illegals then how does free movement assist them to arrive in the UK? Between the Schengen area countries yes, but into the UK?

Like Moldova and Turkey and other countries outside the EU who are not likely to be in the EU in my lifetime despite the transparent bollox cited by the leave campaign.

And what has this to do with knife crime by teenagers of commonwealth extraction?

And since you insist on maintaining this off topic point if you go to Blackpool hartlepool or Carlisle the perpetrators of knife crime are all home grown whiteys.
