Why were you not pleased? I believe knowing the background of that dress is enough reason for not to be pleased. Woman`s position in Islam is structured on pure discrimination. So while discussing discrimination in the public (against immigrants, colored skin, LGBT etc), discriminating a mindset which was built on discrimination should not be an issue

You are wrong, if you dont mind me pointing out. People did not vote exclusively for a no deal exit, though some did. People did not vote exclusively for May's deal (as it didnt exist), though some voted for some kind of managed exit along the lines of a withdrawal agreement/deal. People did not vote exclusively for Norway plus, though some did. You cannot play the "uphold the democracy" card on one hand when it suits you, then completely sack of the concept of democracy on the other hand. The way in which we leave the EU has massive, fundamental and far reaching consequences. No deal compared to May's deal is very different indeed. To democratically deliver one of those exit routes, it must be voted on in a 2nd referendum. Given the amount of lies, mistruths, lack of understanding and simple inability to predict the future in 2016, any reasonable person would also concede the very concept of leaving the EU must be voted on again, if you are going to the trouble of arranging a second national vote. If your position is solid, we will vote again to leave the EU. As you hold democracy in such high regard, if the will of the British people has changed, as they have seen the 350 mil for the NHS was a lie, and they have seen job losses and uncertainty, and they have seen what is happening with British Steel, then democratic process must rule and a new vote must be held. How do you know this?

Interesting, thank you. Thought the following paragraph was insightful, bearing in mind this thread had mentioned dictatorship:

What is 'homophobic bulling' by the way?.....Is it some kind of new sadomasochistic position after spooning? Edited by Stirlingsays (14 May 2019 7.34am) Only just noticed this. Genuinely sorry to see Peffers go. The Volkischer Beobachter comment did make me laugh, though, as did much of his output. Modding seems to be a lot more zero tolerance now than in my day.

He probably held the record for yellow cards which incidentally none of which were issued by me but the last straw was when he publicly called me a c***. Don't tell me that you would have just laughed it off in your day

It goes without saying, obviously. And I’m a leaver. Indeed. Before the referendum there were lots of people arguing for a "Norway plus" agreement, i.e. economic union without the ever closer political (and possibly military) union. And I know quite a few leave backers who wanted that, as well as many who wanted "hard brexit". It's impossible to say for certain what the split is between "leave" voters. There should have been a second question on the poll card along the lines of "should the UK decide to leave the EU, do you favour...." and we wouldn't have the ambiguity we have now. Based on the referendum result, May's deal ticks the box of "leaving the EU" while leaving neither leavers or remainers happy.

True but the turn out for those things is pretty weak generally. I guess this year will be a record though eh Even though the remain supporters vote will be split more than the leave supporters, some simple maths and we can get some clues as to where the country stands on leave vs remain in 2019 as its a 1 issue election of course.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

If the EU and council elections were on the same day, turn out would be higher.
