Labour has announced they will vote for a 2nd referendum which of course would mean a lengthy extension. I can see the public loving that

Go and look up the rise of the spiteful mutants on YouTube and you might learn something about yourself

I can think of many current politicians who are much worse. In the minds of "leave" voters Osborne's primary "sin" it seems was making predictions about the consequences of a leave vote succeeding. Consequences which haven't materialise. Yet.

He was being political but there was more truth underlying what he suggested than in many other statements made at that time.

Not so. He said that the economy would collapse immediately if the result of the referendum was "leave" and that he would have to hold an emergency budget

Populism is designed to appeal to those who see things in simple black and white terms. Or in other words "narrow minded".

Whilst currently most populist regimes are from the right they can just as easily come from the left.

I know, and it didn't happen as he predicted, but the signs are there that the underlying truth of the prediction will become apparent, if we have a hard Brexit.

The blokes who go around with a Sandwich board saying the end of the world is nigh. One day, hopefully thousands of years from now, they will be right. In the meantime most people are looking at the here and now and the politicians and the economists can't even get that right.

Oh he was "electioneering" for sure. He had to in response to the claims being made by "leave". Which is why I so strongly object to putting such a critical issue to the winds of chance of a referendum and the resultant expectations that have been so obvious in the last 3 years. This issue should have been a pledge in a manifesto after agreement within a political party. Then if they become the government they can start the process in the hope they can get it through Parliament. In that way everyone would know where they stand.

What an arrogant and stupid statement that exposes your true attitude.

You have the narrow mind, old boy.

You have hit the nail on the head. He is a repetitive single minded know it all and you will never get a sensible answer from him. I think he needs to go for a long walk and stop digging himself into a deeper hole on these boards.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
