Another cut in interest rates in the pathetic hope of avoiding the collapse that is already here, if not yet felt 'by the man on the street' just yet.
I've no doubt that when the s*** hits 'the streets', Brexit will be to blame by many (myopic) DESPITE Japan being extremely f-cked, China being very f-cked, the USA being very f-cked, the UK being very f***ed as well as many many others.

Stop blaming Brexit and open your eyes.

Another cut? Or the first in seven years?

I figured ''open your eyes'' was good enough tbh.

We, brexitiers have saved your arses yet you're still all sleeping and unaware we've rescued you from that he'll hole.

Wow, thank you SO much for 'saving' us silly remainers (all 48% of us who are apparently incapable of tying our own shoelaces) from ourselves. You sound really desperate for the EU to collapse so you can be proved 'right'.

I'm not an Ex anything (apart from school scallywag) I still serve my queen and country and all that entails, I admittedly am not to keen on you, mainly down to your petulant one sided view of the world, that I can't help thinking has been formed from musings of others in the common room or nick gussets links to the more left of center websites he frequents

However I have never met you and you may well be an awesome chap with very level headed values ...truth is I don't know, but as others have pointed out you don't give off that general impression, and come across as some sort of modern day reactionary parody of Rick from the young ones.

You are of course entitled to your opinions as am I, just don't automatically think somone is less entitled to their opinion just because it's not the same as your own.

Now off to bed, your new David Walliams won't read itself.

I am not keen on you either Danny, especially if you read David Walliams books but confess that i am indeed an 'awesome chap', so we'd probably get along just fine. I am an ex (20 odd years ago) pro rugby league player (Hull & Ldn Broncos) so like many servicemen i am sometimes inclined to let the confrontational side of my nature get in the way of my professionalism wrt my postings on the HOL...but thank you for the compliment that i am like a student. I have since ploughed my trade as an economist/fund manager although during brexit we were pilloried for our views as the country 'had enough of experts'. But i dont mind people having different views, i just want to point out that it wasnt a 'fear' campaign but very much real risks which will pan out over the next 7 years economically, politically, constitutionally, socially etc. Whilst this makes little or no sense to me i accept its what people wanted and voted for, press the article 50 button now cos the uncertainty is very damaging, but i struggle to find a single positive outcome. We will agree to differ professionally.

To pay the pensions you mean?

They're not entitled to refuse at all. They offered the pensions, not the UK, and they're obliged to pay them.

Hi S - I mean vote against the whole thing - the treaty is between us and the EU - the Parliament of the EU will have to ratify and if it is not in their interests they may vote No.

Consequences?

I think you meant 'plied' rather than 'ploughed', trade-wise.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Err no, it's entirely our call. Same as it is with when we trigger article 50.

They can jump up and down and scream at us to invoke it, but when we do has nothing to do with them. And they wrote it so if they don't like it, you know who they can moan at.
