The other side of the coin is everyone for Brexit being seen as some sort of racist.

True that.

As a "still undecided, but probably leaning towards remain" I have found the remain campaign at a far more patronising level than the leave - "this is what will happen, and if you don't believe us you're a little englander / xenophobe / racist / idiot"

It's certainly not angry, boll0ck5 or reactionary. My opinion is born out of years leftist rule that has eroded our identity as a nation, seen powers signed away, our borders abandoned just for the sake of multi culturalism and the absolute obsession of the left when it comes to said subject IS bordering on mental illness if you ask me. Who cares if there isn't enough asians in the police force, or not enough Afro Carribeans in the fire brigade? Now that IS boll0cks. I'd rather people who can do the job than ludicrous quotas met because some idealist has got a hard on about social engineering. For the love of God and all that's holy, I wonder when this absolute madness is going to end but it shows no sign of abating and we are more than happy to sign all our powers and right to self governance away because of some ideal being chased by people who are, quite frankly, bl00dy deluded.

Leftist rule you say? Well, I make it that for the last few decades The Conservatives will, by 2020, have been in charge for 28 of the last 41 years. Nearly 70% of the time. I wonder if you ever voted for these folk that have ruled us and 'ruined' us?

And don't forget everytime there was a major European community treaty that needed signing it was The Right from the UK that were there pen-in-hand.

I could've sworn we'd only had a conservative government for 1 year since 1997...

New Labour aren't a left wing party, they're planted on the right of the centre. Its notable that at the time of the election, political pundits were referring to them as being more to the right of the spectrum than Ted Heaths Conservative Government (which embraced Keyensian social models, where as New Labour was firmly in the free market models of economics and corporate partnerships).

Its notable that even the Liberal party were to the left of New Labour - but they weren't really ever in power per se.

Unless you count the SNP, then there hasn't been a left wing government in the UK since 1979.

That wasn't my point, but I don't agree. You can say New Labour weren't left wing until you're blue in the face, you've posted it a hundred times before in the hope that it'll stick. They're left now, they were centre left then.

Kermit wrote that the Conservatives "have been in charge for 28 of the last 41 years" and it's total nonsense, which he knows. He completely forgets about the Coalition government and labels it conservative as they were part of it.

Why would you count the SNP, in anything? They're an irrelevance to British politics, the little Scotlanders that they are.

Are you trying to be funny or does it just come naturally to you? These 'Tories' are so enthralled to the left that they are virtually left wing themselves! These aren't true Tories in any shape or form! They're just carrying on the same old tired politics that have ruined this country! I hear people bleating about the 'savage cuts', what absolute rot! They aren't savage enough! I've never voted Labour due to the pure recklessness of their politics. I voted UKIP last time round and I simply won't vote for any of the three main parties, they're all cr@p and don't offer anything to the working man.

It's true what you're saying. Cameron and Osborne are mere blue-painted dog turds. Not real Tories at all.

Pedantry aside - who do you think was more in charge from 2010-15? The Tories, The Liberals or was it an even 50/50 split on say-so?

The Libs were devastated at the GE remember. Their own voters turned their back on them for their performance. Of which there wasn't any really, was there? Well, apart from a bit of pandering to to David and George.

The Conservatives ruled the country for those years under the heading of coalition government granted.

The Lib dems were effectively the kingmaker, and their losses at the GE were effectively punishment for telling a big fat whopper to their core voters. The students.

You have still casually dismissed that power was shared for 5 years and choose to include the Thatcher years to make your argument work.

Mine is the more accurate statement, isn't it?

My main and original point was that The Right will have been in power for nearly three out of the last four decades come 2020. That still stands.

Your statement is accurate but doesn't undermine mine.

What a load of reactionary, angry bollocks. With non-sarcastic and genuine respect for your service, don't assume that anyone who isn't desperate for a Brexit is even one of the things you claim they are in that post.

Some would argue that such closed-mindedness and abuse for anyone with a different view to yours is the typical, warped mentality of the right and brexiteers. I wouldn't, because I respect your right to your own views.

Perhaps you should do the same, even if you don't want to understand why other people think differently to you.

For the record, an EU super state is only marginally less horrific a prospect than the Tories scaring the electorate into voting them in again and proceeding to finish the job of selling off all our national instiutions to their mates whilst telling us how lucky we are to be safe from all those foreigners.

Hello pot his names Kettle.
