To be fair to the club, we don't know what is going on other than the newspaper stories, which are almost always inaccurate. I too would like to see some early signings so that they can benefit from the pre-season, but I'm fully prepared for most, if not all, to be made towards the end of the window. I also expect to be a tad underwhelmed at the end of August, but hope to be pleasantly surprised instead.

The transfer window opened on 9 June but, because contacts all run to 30th June, a new one can't commence until 1st July. There is no reason why we cannot conduct transfer business now, as other clubs are doing:
