The SNP and Sinn Fein are taking this "opportunity" to consolidate their desire for independence and we cannot expect any help but hindrance from there.

Good old Wales stuck by us and between us along with help from USA and the dependable commonwealth allies we can make a go of it.

WE can expect the EU to play hardball and not make any concessions initially. More fool them.

Everyone should now buy English and Welsh goods primarily, eg Welsh Lamb and English farm and dairy produce.

We can replace everything we get from the EU from elsewhere. Aussie Wine is better than French Wine. Cheddar and Stilton are far superior cheeses to the French soft cheeses. German cars - overpriced diesels that have failed emission tests (now we've realised they were cheating all along).

We can get our farmers to actually grow crops again, rather than leaving them for meadows to encourage butterflies and dormouse to inhabit them as directed by the EU. We can pay Dairy farmers a fair price for their milk rather than expecting them to make a loss FFS.

The Jocks and the Paddy's can go their own way... we won't be buying any of their produce either. With the Oil price as low as it is Scotland will struggle, but if Independence is what they want so be it. The Irish loyalists I do feel sorry for, but maybe they might have to have another referendum or come and live here?

It won't be long before we've built up our trade again with USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, India, China, Brazil, etc, as well as using our own manufacturers a lot more for home sales as opposed to selling to the EU.

I would recommend a Honda CRV car produced in this country over any thing Germany, France or Italy could offer!

It also won't be long before the EU nations realise what a fcuk up they have made by not listening to us. Losing £350 Million a week gross (or £8 Billion per annum net ) is a big hole in their budget. All of them will have to stump up significantly higher fees. A lot of them like Greece and Italy are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.

The EU will collapse like a house of cards.

Trust me, we are going to win this war.

Ideal scenario: EU succeeds into the future and we succeed into the future. If one falters it will affect the other negatively. Basically, we need each other.

Well, apart from a few points:

1) German cars are superior (but more expensive)

2) French wines are better than new world, at least at the top end, though arguably not as good value.

3) French cheeses are better than Cheddar and Stilton. But that's not so say we can't live without them. Cheddar is pretty "meh" and Stilton not suitable except for certain occasions. Cornish "young" Brie is pretty good, but at the moment no match for a good mature French Brie.

I agree with your "buy Btitish" stance, but lets not delude ourselves, eh?

Cornish young brie can be a bit 'hard' - see if you can find Somerset brie - this ripens off to match any French that I have ever tried. Also, try some of the other 'small batch' regional English cheeses (a local farmers market will help), or even some of the british goats cheeses that are more readily available now.
