Puncheon is the exception but still not enough to rely on. Yes definitely this would be a plan B with a different approach and arguably that is a gamble and people on here say Pardew lacks a plan B. Your point is valid if we get the likes of Bony or Berahino and this would be my first choice but if we don't Pardew might want to consider the Balotelli gamble/option. Oh God, please don't. He is an utter imbecile and massively overrated as well in my opinion. You hear about how naturally talented he is but I haven't seen it from him. Might have the odd decent game here or there but nowhere near enough to justify how much trouble he is.
