Charging us to go to their Christmas play. Christmas play which features songs with the words 're hashed so that Jesus, Mary and all the rest isn't mentioned. Last year a family of sprouts substituted Mary and Joseph and they sang songs about Christmas puddings.

I hope they sold hot food to a captive audience at a decent mark-up as well. I like to see capitalism well executed. Perhaps keyrings with a photo of your child performing in the nativity would also bring in some more wealth.

They already do the school photo racket.

The parents should counter charge them for the outfits. "I spent £10 on that, less the £1 ticket cost - so i'll invoice you for £9."

Yes stuk. I sent the £10 in this morning for a photo of my 3 . They do it right before Christmas as it makes a handy presents for grandma.

The school has now amended it and said year 1 which is my son's year don't have to pay but year 2 do. Even worse but there we go. If they think I am coughing up next year they have another thing coming. Of course other parents have moaned but paid up. I won't be but I will Be arriving and will expect to take my seat. They are having a disco next week at a cost of £5 and a film night at a cost of £7 the week after so they can't claim poverty when they are raking in that much cash .

They are charging for the nativity to cover costs for the song sheets... what are they on?? Gold leaf?

You could save a lot of money by having twins. Then you only need to buy one photo and get it copied at Boots for cheap.

The there's the, needlessly, branded uniforms and school bags to top up the coffers a bit more. And the arsehole teacher who decides the class is going to do secret santa.

You should shop them in the BFI about the film night, they'd get fined to f*** for doing that.

Song sheets? They'll need them on tablets next year that you'll need to individually purchase but will remain the property of the school!

They did this with pe kit . They decided to introduce a house system with associated colours. Didn't think to put siblings in the same house so I have 3 all in different colours (can't pass the uniform down) not to mention Christmas jumper day (you pay something at school for charity but it costs you to buy a jumper in the first place) that's coming up. Plus the whip round for Bluewater vouchers for the teacher recommended we cough up £10 each for that. A costume for bloody viking day tomorrow as well (last year it was Roman day, year before Greek day)

Send him in with his bike and tell them he must've misheard it.

House colours, no one cares. Everyone knows PE at school is purely based on how cool your trainers are deemed to be.

Oh taking of school almost forgot..

His birthday last week , takes sweets in to hand out at the end of the day . 30 individual packets of haribo all sealed. Packaging written in English, in date blah blah. School wouldn't let him give them out because they don't have the ingredients listed on the packets. I f***ing kid you not.

Where's the brains gone. The common sense. These are 11 year old kids we are talking about who can walk to / from school on their own if they wish and allowed mobile phones. But they can't have a packet of bloody haribo

..news, when a third person comes in and sits facing the other two and reports to them what they are going to discuss when they turn to face us, do they actually not realise that we have just heard everything that they have just said or are we to believe that until they face us we shouldn't be listening in on someones else's conversation.
