Ok so assuming we were going to spend £25 - £30M on Benteke and have received £25M for Bolasie and say £5 - £10M for Jedi / McCarthy. Then we have approx £60M to solve our woes.

Simple question. How would you spend £60M.

Benteke - £30M
Oliver Burke - £9M
Hal Robson Kanu - Free
Joel Cambell - Loan
Ashley Young - £8M
Hakim Ziyech - £8M

£5M spare to get deals over the line..

That's a really good list. I think you might need to throw in the spare £5m to get Hakim though, and of course no idea how the salaries of these guys would be paid., since the £60m would need to cover that too?

Get free transfers, then fob everybody off about the money being needed for infrastructure.

I was taking the liberty of assuming we could afford the wages from elsewhere. We've moved a fair few players on, so all of their wages have been freed up and the extra TV money would be going towards the wage struture to.

Our net spend is actually very low so far and it's only really the Benteke fee and additional wages which will be pushing the boat out.

But apart from Benteke and possibly Ashley Young I doubt any of the others will be asking for ridiculous wages. None of the others have ever been first team premier players so wages should be at a reasonable level with players we've moved on.

Agents fees that's another matter!!

Anyway would be interested to see how others would spend the money.
