There was a documentary about them on the BBC recently and while most people they helped were very grateful, one of them walked straight off like she was leaving a taxi.

The woman who got trapped by the tide down by rottingdene. She would have drowned had she not had a working phone on her. Scared the life out of me. I can't swim so I would be in deep trouble should I end up in the water. They were so blase about how close they had come to dying, incredible really

Another half an hour or so and she'd have been swept away.
