Was watching Hibs yesterday and this 21 year old midfielder was the best player on the pitch

Made his full Scotland debut in March and was given Man of the match.

Previously at St. Mirren. Played 120 games which is good going for his age.

Andy Dorman was the best player on the pitch for St Mirren 6 years ago aswell!

Crikey, so it is. I thought that because Hibs had won the FA McCup they must be what passes for decent up here.

I've got to take my 7-year-old to watch Audrie-f"""ing-onians FFS. I'll be the one crouched over my phone watching Palace on Kodi :-)

Note to self: in the West of Scotland "s***e" is pronounced "shate".

It's not like we've ever won a cup. MotM on your national debut at 21 is impressive

Good man, were you at the holy ground? John McGinn is a great player for Hibs and is the best player in the Scottish championship by a distance. There's a huge gulf between that and Palace though and he'd struggle to get near our first team at the moment although could maybe get there with the right coaching. Good to hear his name mentioned on here though and would love it if he moved south for sentimental reasons. However, in my humble opinion, the only player in Scotland I could see making an impact in the premiership is Leigh Griffiths and I'm surprised no one had made a move for him.

Yes Griffiths is at Celtic, but remember you posting about him last season. He is good enough for Premier and a proper poacher

McGinn dictated play, and used the ball very well. He saw the pass and delivered consistently. I was looking at Cummings but he wasn't at his best

There was some talk of Cummings moving to the English championship over summer but he ended up signing a new contract. He's good for 20+ goals in the SFL so it was important to hold on to him as promotion is a must this year. He's another one with potential although can be a bit hit or miss at times, which is to be expected with a young player. He's only 20 I think and if he can continue progressing the way he has been then he'll do very well.

Jimmy Mac played for Hamilton Academic. He's arguably our best player now.
