I agree but again that won't help motivate premier league clubs who would have to sign off on any changes at the moment. They don't want to give their rivals more money to buy better players that can then be used to beat them. Premier League clubs are happy to be paying money overseas because it doesn't have an impact on their domestic rivals. I know they don't want to, but with more limited options I'd be happier to see lots of clubs in the Championship getting £10m for their best players than £15m going to Spain for one of their average players. The Premier league won't have the option of signing off changes if restrictions are put on EU passport holders coming in the future, it'll be the law.
