Some will already know but one of our players ( maybe more,I dont know) has a chauffeur to take him to training,he's my next door neighbour.

They do about 2/3 hours training a day, including set plays etc etc..today it was 2 and a half hours and my next door neighbour was the last out.

Doesn't seem enough to me.

Thoughts ?

Player i know leaves around 6.30am 4 mornings a week and gets home about 1.30-2pm. Lots of the players do gymn work before training. Not saying they all do or have too. Some are probably worried about leaving their partners at home for too long incase the Manager pays them a visit.

I agree it's not enough. Your next door neighbour should be doing more than 12.5 hours a week. Is he just doing that so he can still claim his benefits?

It probably doesn't seem a lot but 2-3 hours of physical exercise per day is quite a lot when you think about it. Push them too hard or train them for hours on end and you risk injuries, tiredness etc and then we'd be moaning that they're being pushed too hard.

They also have tactical classroom work to do as well! Training varies throughout the week, you won't have it too intense the day before a match for example.

Do you advocate running them into the ground everyday, so they are knackered on match days.
It may of escaped your notice, the players are monitored to death with fitness analytical data, so I think clubs know what is right for the players.

Some of the top euro clubs have two training sessions a.m and p.m.

They will certainly be more advanced than Palace with stats and other data.

Ronaldo's routine:

3 to 4 hours of daily practice that assure a very low body fat level (<10%)

::: Several periods of running for state cardio (25-30 mins)

::: High intensity and "explosive" sprinting drills (short-period exercises)

::: Technical drills to enhance skills and ball control

::: Football tactical exercises to improve understanding with teammates

::: Gym exercises to develop specific muscles but also his total body strenght
