From bread basket to basket case. I'm sure Mugabe and his cronies are amongst the wealthiest people in Africa too. Right up there with Maggie's pal Suharto in the highest echelons of populace-raping, opponent-murdering, venal despots the world has seen in the last 30 years or so.
