I've made the decision to sell my living room separates system and speakers, and the hi-fi in our bedroom and replace them with wireless multiroom speakers.

I know that I'll probably be sacrificing a little audio quality but I mostly stream from Spotify these days so I'll not actually be losing anything for what I listen to. I'm fed up with all the wires, cables and space that separates take up, and am looking forward to the ease of streaming from my phone wherever I am.

Will probably have speakers in the living room, kitchen and our bedroom and I'm thinking: Sonos Play 5 (living room), Sonos Play 3 (kitchen) and 2 x Sonos Play 1s for the bedroom.

Does anyone have a wireless speaker set-up at home and can make some recommendations on kit. Be interested to hear anyone that has Samsung or Bose wireless systems too - any good?

Have you looked into the Chromecast audio option?

I live in a 1 bedroom flat so have been content with big speakers in the living room and Bluetooth independently in to another room when needed but I do like the idea of being able to have the same source in the bathroom or kitchen without having to turn the main system up to 11.

I can stream all my media to wherever I want but it's all a bit fragmented having to change the output device when in another room. Ideally there'd be some sort of multi-output Bluetooth hub which I presume doesn't exist due to the limited range. I even experimented with a Bluetooth transmitter from my amp which was great apart from the delay between analogue source to my main speakers.

I'd be happy to rethink my setup but to get this on mobile as well it'd be another a tenner a month on top for Google Music which if I was using at home would mean using another app to make the most of streaming songs I don't own thus no all-in-one solution.

Can you stream to multiple devices simultaneously?

I hope that it works better than the voice activated systems in my car as that rarely understands what I'm saying to it

Maybe it doesn't like your tone.

Apart from the terrible name, the libratone speakers are real quality.

Cheers

Still unsure whether this could be the right solution although it would improve my setup.

Really though if could just extend my main amp to another room wirelessly I'd be happy.
