He's only been dead a few hours and my local hospital have named a unit after him.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Former MP George Galloway, who appeared alongside Pete Burns on Big Brother said: “Sad to hear of the demise of Pete Burns. He was a cross between Oscar Wilde and Dorothy Parker. You don't get more brilliant than that. RIP." George's judgement still absolutely sound then?

Pete Burns is dead, who cares. Couple of hit wonder from yesteryear, who was on Celebrity Big Brother. Which by default means his death actually raises the average of human integrity. Even their hits are really only average half decent singles, and probably their single contribution to music is that they discovered Wayne Hussey (later Sisters of Mercy and The Mission). Could I care less, probably, because that one hit that was a standout was alright. But f**k me the internet is acting like we lost another Bowie, Rolling Stone or Beatle. In the world of music, Pete Burns contributions are dwarfed by the woman, who made tea, at Abbey Studios.
