If the season so far was based on 1st half performance we'd be rock bottom, and if it was on 2nd half we'd be 5th.

we perform well in the second half because by then we are already a couple of goals behind, our squad has woken up, the opposition is content to sit back and defend. all not good enough.

we are like an alcoholic who goes teetotal after being told his liver is beyond repair. Too little too late

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

Pardew could get Messi, Bale and Ronaldo playing up to Championship level in no time.

"hey Cristiano, i liked those 3 goals you scored but you will really need to make some changes to your playing style. I have here a typed list of all the things you are doing wrong.......

or something similar

Pardew's fault then? Huh? Ok. Sack him!

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

I do have to smile when people say 'so who should we replace him with then' in a way that would suggest that Pardew is the best we should expect.

My answer would be replace him with any of the managers currently managing in Europe... Bar the top clubs obviously.

What I mean is, is that it doesn't have to be someone unemployed. Managers can be bought out of their contracts.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Well football matches are over 90 mins, not one half. our record is piss poor, he is the manager loose to Hull and he has to go.

This phrase is used a lot " Championship standard players", what the hell does it mean.

Who decides when a player is or isn't?

Could they be Premiership standard, then be Championship standard after a poor game?

Could they be Championship standard and improve to Premier Standard?

What is the criteria to become Premier standard?

How many Championship standard players are in the Premier?

Do players in a relegated team become Championship standard automatically?

Its all very confusing.

This is a great point. Always hear this banded around and its tosh. Aside from Delaney, Mutch, Fryers and Campbell...everyone involved in and around our first team is good enough to be there. Prem quality. It's the coaching that's letting Us down imo

It's all very well to say sack Pardew but who would you replace him with ?

Anyone who knows how to prepare and set up the team for a whole match. AP is reactive and seems to waste half of the 90 minutes on the pitch.

We've got pretty much the same defence that we had when Pulis was in charge - he taught them to defend properly - and hit other teams on the break. We are now a more expansive side and don't spend so much of the game in our own third, but it seems that the defence has forgotten how to defend and the defensive midfield are no longer effectively protecting the defence. Very lazy defending against Leicester (first two goals) and Burnley (last minute) - got to get to that ball first and clear!! What we need is an Eric Dier-type that sits in front of the defence and can play the ball out.

What you mean someone who is technically tight, can tackle and pass a ball ?

Hmmmm I have heard that Cabaye was pretty decent whose he play for now .........wait a minute.

I may jest, bu the fact is on paper we have a sqaud that should be easily mid table, certainly a first eleven that is miles better than 5 wins in 2016.

Say what you like about Pulis, with him charge with the players we currently have, there is not a cat in hells chance we lose to Burnley, West Brom, and struggle to get a draw at home to Bournemouth.

In fact with any decent tactician that actually has a game plan, and just doesnt send the team sheet out on the back of a fag packet and trust his luck, we get points from those games.

Time for Fat Sam, he might be a crook, so what I don't care, Costa is a raging cheat and utter git, but I'd have him in red and blue quicker than s*** through a goose.

time to get real and stop sucking AP balls he's crap get rid, his record speaks for it self.

Would suggest if we endure a further run of poor results over the next 4 games, you will in all probability get your wish.

The worst team in any of the four Leagues in 2016 eh.
I don't want Pardew and think he should be gone - no doubt in my mind at all - but there are still a number of games to play this year yet - it could get better or it might get worse.
Not a bad first team with a couple of "star" players and we look disorganised and inept.
AP needs to be a man with a plan - he is in fact a man with no plan who isn't worried about clean sheets as we slide down the table!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

It's not a wish I want lightly, I would love the smug one to be the next Alex Ferguson and propel us into the UEFA cup and beyond.

But I like to live in a little place called reality, and in that reality the odds of him getting us relegated are a lot smaller than him getting us into Europe.

Busted flush, shame, but their it is.
