Interesting analysis from Phil Neville. He was a top defender and you never saw him jump out of the way of the ball like I've seen from some of our players. He points out the dramatic transformation in our set piece defensive record.

Why Crystal Palace players are letting Alan Pardew down - Phil Neville

After Pardew said he's going to have to make changes think we'll see Delaney start on Saturday. He may not be able to pass but at least he defends like a demon.

They were some shocking goals we let in today. Howlers some of them. 3-from set pieces. Can't lay it all at pardews door there's 1 of him and 11 of them. They have to take some of the blame. Plain and simple. Hardly like any of them.are new to the footballing world or the premier league. 20th highest wage bill in Europe. They should know what they are doing ffs

Why not? He has highlighted the exact problems that we have. Defensive mistakes. When players are not doing what they are supposed to do during a game, what can he do? Apart from run on the pitch and get red carded.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

As it's from the Alan Shearer school of punditry. That game finishes 3-1 it gets no mention, but the fact is it was an anomaly so the "experts" will comment on it.

Half + our supporters are blaming Pardew much like with Bolaise they saw the bad as well as the sublimely good.

You can take something in isolation - were there mistakes today - yes absolutely but it is indicative of a far greater problem. The mistakes are a symptom every bit as much as a cause.

Oh I agree he will be the one quite literally in the firing line but the fact most people say deep down that's palace , it's always a rollercoaster and So one. That pre dates pardew . I sincerely hope parish doesn't try and bring in someone on the cheap just to scrape us to survival. He needs to bring the right person in even if it means spending the money. But will he ??

if your not reading that with a anti pardew stance in your head it makes sense.

Neville is talking out of his arse. Whose job is it to drill the defence and make sure everyone knows what they're doing? Who imposes discipline and motivation? Who defines the lines of communication and responsibilities? In short, why do all ninety-two clubs in the league even *have* managers?

And how come Pulis could keep clean sheets and grind out results with similar, if not the same, players whereas Pardew ships five goals against the team that's bl**dy bottom?

Unfortunately it's not just about the money but also about the availability of the right person. If we had wanted Benitez for example there was a moment in the summer we could have approached him but now he's firmly ensconced. On the other hand at the start of the season Allardyce had a job...

Perhaps (Phil) Neville is paving the way for his brother's excuses. Or trying to explain away the arse of things he made at Valencia. Or perhaps he's just s***-stirring.

lets face it we had a back four of Ward, Delaney, Dann, Kelly, and we stopped the goals under Pulis and we were rock solid.Soaure was a great addition but when did the other guys forget how to defend ? ,Some of their behaviour must come from Pardew's instructions or probably more likely lack of instruction. It is clear that he doesn't have a clue what to tell them to do !!!!

I think he has to go as this style of football coupled with lack of results cannot continue especially with the games we have coming up. But i don't feel strongly about it and don't really have a strong opinion about the man. Warnock I did but AP he just sort of blends into the background a bit as far as I am concerned.
