For those interested, Pulis appeal against arbitration award dismissed and he must pay back £1.5m damages for walking out and a further £2.2m damages for deceit. Plus costs.
This brings much into the open, such as the "Heated Players Meeting" of 8 August 2014 prior to his departure, although not exactly what was said or who said it.

Well done to Steve P and the Palace board for sticking to the principles and getting the decision.

Well well.
He may have been able to organise our defence but his own is pretty ropy.
He is not a poor man but that will severely dent his financial future!
It has been told to me by someone not connected with the Club that Pulis thinks that leaving us was his worst ever decision in football - more like 3.5m reasons to wish he was still with us!

The "heated players meeting" is mentioned quite a lot, mainly around it's exact date but it's a shame that they drop any hints as to what it was all about

The stupid thing is that he only had to wait another fortnight and CPFC wouldn't have won the case

Yes why couldn't he wait til the end of August to collect the bonus legally? Was there another managing job on offer which fell through? And why did he treat Parish like that having invited SP to his daughter's wedding in the summer? Either Pulis was really stupid and deceitful or there's more going on in this than meets the eye.

The inference from the link seems to suggest that the Heated Players Meeting was primarily about bonuses for the forthcoming year.

I believe it is common for players to agree with the club the amount and split of such a bonus pot each year based on certain team performance conditions/table finish. The Secret Footballer in one of his books gives a good explanation of this.

I seem to recall there was a bit of media interest into Palace a few years ago when it was rumoured there was disagreement between club and players over this issue.

Arrogance and greed, pure and simple.

Pulis was probably trying to cut himself into the players bonus system as well!

Well done SP and CPFC2010 for ironing out this greedy b******.

Pulis knows that footballers and lawyers cost the same its just that lawyers are a bit harder to fool!

Lets see what spin the media put on this.

It should look very bad for Pulis but I bet some of his media chums cut him some undeserved slack.

That'll be hard to do with this line in the judgement:

By any standards his conduct (prior to and during the litigation) has been shown to be disgraceful."

Why did O'Keefe, Bannan and Price agree with him on the date of the meeting I wonder?

Optimistic as ever
