To me this gives them carte Blanche to smash the union. Worryingly, this all looks premeditated.

It was one of the Blessed Margaret's first actions to pull that rug from under them and quite right too.

Yeah, but I suppose if there is an accident that would have been preventable otherwise, one would imagine that the public would blame the staff. I suspect that's half the battle lost for the unions, as they are talking about the s*** that might happen whereas passangers are dealing with the s*** that does every day.
