Putting Traffic Lights on Roundabouts to cause congestion for 24 hours a day rather than 2. Closing off roads for pedestrians/cyclists. Introducing the Metro Bus shortly... so sh1t, not one of the Bus Companies want to run it.

Those crazy Dutch in one of their cities have started prioritising pedestrians and cyclists over cars when doing their town planning now. Good. Cars have had it their way for way too long. A scourge.

I get public transport to work as should anyone for whom it's viable but taking a day off work to set off on a holiday and spending it stuck in traffic on the way to the airport or hotel is my idea of hell. After work when I need to drive, roads are still sh1t gone 7pm. Not sure the Mayor will go for less houses and more roads but even with a miraculous advances in public transport that's only going to take those who have the option of public transport. Catch 22 as any increase in capacity will only absorb the population growth and there's no net improvement.
