Probably going to get thrashed for this, but that was one of our worst performances of the season.
We won due to 2 major defensive errors on their part, and the fact their shooting was just terrible in front of goal.

Stats from the game:

We had 42% possession, 9 shots of which 4 were on target.
They had 58% possession, 17 shots of which 3 were on target.
I know stats dont necessarily tell the the truth, but today i think they do.

On the other hand though, i would say several other games this season we deserved a result and didnt get it, so its swings and roundabouts.

I'm not concerned so much about possession as you have to give that up to stop other teams scoring against you. This must be our priority and then strike on the break, its more important to win 1-0 than lose 5-4 as points in the bag is what is needed not entertaining football and keep losing!

I meant 'results' rather than performances. What has been frustrating is precisely what you have said: we can score but we keep messing up. It's all well and good saying 'we're a good team' (something I agree with by the way) but we end up getting relegated because of (buckets of) 'silly individual mistakes'. I have supported Pardew up until very recently; I don't think he is getting the best from the team any more. However, I will eat my words if we do end up finishing in a decent position (because he would have got the best from the team). We have to beat Hull. Really important game.

We went back to are strength game today which was how we played under TP none of this AP fancy open play keep the ball stuff.

It's not the best football to watch but shows it's effective and works with the players we have this is the main problem with AP he was forcing players to do something they are not good at but you put them back to this old system and it worked.

Now he needs to build on it and try find balance.

If big sam had come in this is what you would of gotten how we was today.

I dislike how smug AP is again it's only one result

..a little bit more than several I'd say.

..it is because it's one result where no player has ferked it up the arse, he is allowed to be as smug as he likes because it has nothing to do with him!

I can't believe we're stuck with this IDIOT. Clean Sheet or not, Win or not. Pardew is a SH*TTY Manager and still should be sacked. If anyone believes otherwise, there selling a crock of Sh*t.

Other manager has kept us up as well so what we had a faily solid bunch already.

Give it a rest with this cup final rubbish we lost the final so it doesn't mean a great deal just another loss to add to the list.

This season not been great don't you mean this whole year and what a joke trying to use the 5th top scorers in the league you are forgetting how many we have conceded

Most clubs in disarray happen because the chairman and manager don't see eye to eye....

..he is just utterly devastated we won and Parish didn't plant his thumb up Pardews arse.
