Next game could be interesting. Both puncheon and Zaha both hobbling at the end. .....

Thought we played well today, not that Chelsea looked that good. Problem being all the other defeats in 2016 make this type of game less enjoyable as we need points badly. So much better to watch when there is no pressure losing against the tops sides. Arsenal will be the same if we don't get points against Watford :-(

..we did that, we made them not look good.

..hobbling with the pain of losing a game they didn't deserve to lose.

Quite easily actually as he didn't track back at all and pretty much gave the ball away when he had it. It's not just about standing in the penalty area waiting for the ball to come to you.

Quite right. Benteke was our weakest player today. Spills the ball and seems to lack self belief in front of goal.

Every team makes mistakes otherwise every game would end 0-0, most teams in our position are struggling with form and achieving goals, we are struggling with just mistakes, mistakes that can and are being dealt with by our great manager, Mr Alan Pardew.

You really are in a pickle, aren't you? Your attempts to be relentlessly optimisitic are becoming a bit of a parody.

We put up a decent fight today, but were quite easily nullified by an effective Chelsea performance.

We are definitely struggling with form, and have been for a long time now. Pards briefly looked a great manager one year ago, but not any more.

Actually we are exactly where we deserve to be, because we are loosing too many games.'the table never lies'.

Chelsea won't agree.

Hennessey kept us in the game on several occasions.

I've always seen your comments as well considered. Did you watch today's game? We were as vulnerable as any team are versus the league leaders. I thought we were good value for a draw but were undone by a good cross/poor keeping

I watched the game on tv, and then the analysis of the highlights.
I thought we did really well today, against the best side in the country, as I was expecting a thumping.

The point about our defense was to do with the knee jerk criticism of Hennessey. To me, the problem lay elsewhere. That being said, I don't think many teams would have stopped that goal.

As I have said elsewhere, the problem I have is that despite the obvious improvements in performance, those types of mistakes are still endemic.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
