Couldn't see another thread but feel free to remove if one exists. Supposedly interested in him, Moyes would apparently reluctantly sell to clear some funds also. Personally think it would be an excellent signing and exactly what the doctor ordered for us. We're the Arthur over ere!

I could definitely see this happening what with the big Sam link. I think he's very good going forward and grabs the odd goal, somewhat nervous about his denfending capabilities though. Can't be any worse than our left back nightmare at the moment though.

He's good going forward and very very quick but he doesn't defend so i don't think he's what we need at all. I'd much rather have a defensive minded player.

Would rather we got one of the other lbs were linked with. This guy is a nightmare at the back, luckily for him his pace gets him out of trouble.

You only have to read what the Sunderland fans think of him? Also two of the goals we scored at their place were mistakes by him. He didn't clear a long ball up to him, which fell to Lesley to score. Then despite initially tracking jimmy mac, he ducted to let him score. Big Sam won't buy him because he knows he doesn't have the concentration levels required when defending.

You only have to read what the Sunderland fans think of him? Also two of the goals we scored at their place were mistakes by him. He didn't clear a long ball up to him, which fell to Lesley to score. Then despite initially tracking jimmy mac, he ducted to let him score. Big Sam won't buy him because he knows he doesn't have the concentration levels required when defending.

He didn't buy him for Sunderland.It was Poyet who bought him for £1.5 Mill.

If my memory serves me well, Allardyce's only signings at Sunderland were Harper, Eboue, Kone, Kirschoff and Khazri.

A Sunderland supporting friend doesn't rate him as highly as a lot seem to. His main problem seems to be consistency. Almost Souare-esque great going forward and average defender. I suppose the question is what do you want from your full backs.

I do watch players closely and listen to those who know them better than me.

Chilwell - Leicester Gibbs - Arsenal Shaw - Manchester United Davies - Spurs Taylor - Swansea (worst out of the 5, but better than PVA

Our problem is keeping goals out, so signing a left back who cannot defend I don't believe is a wise option. He'll get you the odd goal but if you read up, Sunderland fans don't rate hit, his concentration levels are terrible and I believe there are better available left back 'defenders' out there.

Chilwell - Leicester
Gibbs - Arsenal
Shaw - Manchester United
Davies - Spurs
Taylor - Swansea (worst out of the 5, but better than PVA

Suare in the Premier League: 1 assist in 3 thousand 9 hundred minutes. That's more than 40 games!! And he didn't do well in the offensive in France either.
