Don't think transfer window will help unless we can find players with strong injury-free records they must be like gold dust....

today we didnt try to attack them at all, wilf being played out of position and looking average under bfcs.

Wilf will look poor out of position. Andros sulks and gets benched by Pardew. Gets his own way, and plays on Wilfs wing, and they both play poor! I don't get it. I'm sure the tactics will improve, but it needs to hurry up.

Both Townsend and Zaha ended up playing like full-backs to assist Kelly and Ward who were struggling leaving Benteke isolated up front. Our midfield three looked off the pace and weary and so we never got a modicum of control in this area.We never really laid a glove on Arsenal.

Can't believe you and one or two others are slagging wilf. He's been brilliant this season in a massively underperforming team. Was far from poor today despite having to defend for large chunks he still put in the effort even if not much came off. Crazyness along with sell Wilf for £25m post??? We need to strengthen not sell our best players ffs.

Doesn't surprise me. No team's fans quit faster than those at cpfc. We played Arsenal at the Emirates and they always beat us. It was a damage limitation exercise today and our gd didn't take a hammering, even with 2 very important players missing.
This squad is suffering from a severe lack of confidence caused by the 2016 disaster. Grind out a couple of wins and everyone looks a better player. Many on here claimed they didn't care about the performance as long as we got the result. Well let's see now shall we, cos it ain't gonna be pretty from now on.

If I hear another pundit eulogising about Giroud's wonderful, marvellous, heavenly fvcking goal I will vomit. A fluky backheel that accidentally went in off the crossbar.and could have gone anywhere. It will probably get Goal of the Month as against us they usually do. Very angry after today. Didn't expect to win. Expected a fight at least.

You know this game was never going to define our season. With Swansea in 48 hours, were we ever going to bust a gut against a team of Arsenals quality.
Anyone thinking anything else and slagging players off, should realise there are more important games to come. So getting through the game with no more injuries and keeping score down was the priority.

Totally get your post. You are correct with the importance of the Swansea game. Not really slagging anyone off, but, if the team are not going to bust a gut, can they let me know and I can save money on buying a ticket. I don't want it to be where we go to teams like Arsenal knowing we arnt going to nick something. Anyway, onwards to Swansea. I'm sure a good performance will see a positive result. I really felt sorry for Wilf today. His class will tell against the Swans though.

Didn't see anyone not trying but thought that ball retention by our attacking players in the first half in particular was really poor and put the defence under enormous pressure.

Stayed in the game at half time, had a chance to nick an equaliser and seemed to wake up when it was 2-0.

Hennessey played well(Cech equally well unfortunately) and Kelly did Ok against Sanchez IMO.

Don't really understand some of the stick our defence is getting when we spent so much of the game on the back foot. More disappointed with the ability of the players in front of them to hang on to the ball.

I've NOT mounted a major "Slagging" assault on the players.

I feel I have made an honest assessment about certain players who fell below the standards required at PL level.I always expected it to be hard against Arsenal but this doesn't mean that some of the players are immune from criticism.

Lots of OTT w*anking about that goal from Giroud. A ruddy fluke IMHO. "A certain romanticism about it coming off the bar". WTF?
