Couldn't agree more. I'd add puncheon to that, a shadow of the player he was a year or two ago and for me is no better than a championship player now. I solely blame pardew for this malaise. We are a far worse team than the one that came from behind to draw with Liverpool under pulis. The heart and soul has been ripped out of the squad.

Puncheon has been very disappointing.Maybe Allardyce will get more out of him. We have far too many 'Championship' quality players in the squad ie Kelly, Mutch, Sako, Campbell, Fryers etc etc

We are worse than some teams in the championship. Kelly ward dann flamini all need to go. If Benteke does not show some more enthusiasm he needs to be sold off to.....looks like he does give a toss a lot of the time....no effort at all, Edited by BelfastEagle (01 Jan 2017 6.47pm)

That said maybe a couple of seasons ago, I was questioning his ability and commenting about his lack of a burst of pace and I was pilloried on here ! He can still do a job for us but I wasn't one who was lauding him when others were on here and I think some were suggesting him for England ! We all have our own opinions about players and I was in the minority !
