In all walks of life if your employed by a company and your working your b**ls off and others are on higher wages and not putting it in and getting away with it then your going to follow suit Benteke is surely our highest earner and his total lazy lack lustre efforts is in my opinion affecting many .At least with campbell irrespective of his short comings you get effort and with Remy played ok at Bolton and there certainly was no lack of effort (only quality) Get rid of Benteke he's the rotten Apple in the barrel

Was it not Pardew who said if you want more wages play like Cabaye. ?

If you just wanted to slag off Benteke you should have called it 'I think Benteke is not very good and overpaid' or better still added it to the other threads slagging Benteke. Well no it's not , it is about team morale though which is the title of the thread you started.
If you just wanted to slag off Benteke you should have called it 'I think Benteke is not very good and overpaid' or better still added it to the other threads slagging Benteke.
Anyway I agree with Alaneagle1 , AP did no one any favours making such a stupid public statement.

A sweeping statement perhaps, but I am not convinced that morale is that low.

I read the situation thus:

Most of the team are actually quite concerned that we are in the drop zone. Though not as concerned about a loss of contractual payments. I believe it is their way of handing in a written transfer request - without the written bit.

In the old days, we used to hear of players handing in transfer requests on a regular basis. Where have they all gone? Why put pen to paper when you can turn up for work, idle around the pitch for 90 minutes, show as little interest as possible, (wouldn't be smart to get injured, would it?), all the while offering no end product?

Obvious really isn't it?
