It always makes me laugh when i see fans opinions on players that have left their clubs. For example, Schlupp won the Leicester young player of the year two years running and by all accounts was one of their best players under Nigel Pearson. Now of course, Leicester fans apparently don't rate him that highly. I think we have a really good player for the future, and at 24, he will have many more good years left

Did you also laugh when you read the Newcastle fans' opinions of Pardew when he left them as they were ultimately found out to be quite correct

I think opinions are just opinions. Some people's opinions will turn out to be right and others not. I always start off with an open mind and gradually formulate an opinion based on experience. Pardew turned out to be the man the Toon Army fans warned us about. Schlupp is getting my backing right now based on what I've seen and he wasn't really given a fair crack at Leicester due to their outstanding season and he was sidelined. Hope he does okay, but we'll see.

Was never keen on him being appointed but everyone else got carried away with him finishing tenth with Pulis' team. He got found out the season after, and well, recent history says it all. We were warned but didn't take any notice.

Sir Steve had different opinion on Talk Sport re. Pardew. have to aggree with Sir Steve.
