For once it shouldn't pick itself which is a good thing. With the team that started today, we would still have Schlupp, Luka M, Townsend, Remy plus Sakho if he signs on the bench. Strength in depth! That's what we've been missing for 2 seasons.

Deeply impressive achievement. Most importantly we now at last have a proper successor to Jedi as DM in Milivjocevic. We had a makeshift left side of defence after Souare's injury, and we now have two strong left sided players in Schlupp and Van Aanholt. And we have a hard tackling, good passing CB in Sackho. It won't be easy fighting clear of relegation, but these reinforcements in exactly the right areas have given us a great chance. And Ward is playing better.

I can see either Wickham or Souare being included even if there was just a slim chance of them playing this season. Souare is back training, not sure to what degree. Appiah is unlikely to be considered an option by Allardyce, Fryers is now 4th or 5th choice left back behind PVA, Schlupp, Ward, and Kelly.
