Left home at 1100 arrived S. Norwood 1400 after 91 miles, which included M3 total roadworks, M25 usual pressure points.

Left match at 1545 arrived home 1830 after diverting via Guildford and Basingstoke.

You could actually measure the effort I put in to get to the ground to offer my support.

Fuel cost £25, burger & drink £5. Small change compared to many.

Conversely, the players, on let's say an average of £50k per week, could have fed the fans on matchday for an entire season on this weeks wages.

Did I see any effort from them?
Bloody right I didn't.

10 minutes from Sydenham by car, takes me longer to walk back up the hill after the game than getting home.

And i stayed till the end waiting for the goat glut and to win 5-4, but something went wrong....

7400 mile round trip for me.

If I get the 6pm flight out of Detroit, land at Heathrow 7am Saturday morning, I can be in the Cherries by 11.30 easily.

I have to be at Detroit airport for 4pm, leaving my house at 2.30pm Friday.......and getting in the Cherries at 11.30am Saturday: a total time of 16 hours.

Then I have to fly home of course.....

Last weekend, for the Sunderland game, I flew to London on Thursday night and went on the piss on Friday.

I usually get over once per month.

I have no idea how pi$$ed off I'd be if I travelled 4000 miles over the Atlantic in the hope built by the Bournemouth result just to watch that total load of pigs****. It's just as well I can't get down the road at the weekend or this would feel a good deal worse.

I know I only come from Bexley but I was rather p=ssed to discover the South Circular was closed at Hither Green. Sods law that I got the route wrong as I normally go via Grove Park! Just about summed up my afternoon.

Left Dorset coast Friday to get to daughter in fleet and drop off dogs with son in law (w spam fan but OK). Stayed the night and travelled by train with wife daughter and granddaughter to Selhurst.
Train back to fleet then drive home the next day. Match tickets 111.50 train fares 53.00 plus 25 quid fuel. That performance is in my five worst games I have seen in the 55 years of watching palace.
Spineless and passionless. Next time I go I will not be chearing them on as I don't want to frighten the poor dears since SA thinks they are playing with fear at Selhurst.

Been to Anfield twice seen 14 goals and my team haven't scored any

An Hours drive with the traffic. Spent far too much money, drank far too much, yesterday dog tired with a hangover and everyone was absolutely miserable in the ground and pub after.

Used to be half-an-hour. Geographically confined to TV these days, sadly.
