Really important that as a support base we are as positive as possible over the next few months but...

I got absolutely slaughtered for wanting Rowett over Allardyce and my worse fears have come true. Many palace fans did their best Phil Thompson and Paul Merson impressions with utterances such as 'what does Rowett know about the prem' etc. Well Marco Silva knows nothing about the prem and he's done ok.

Allardyce looks out of his depth and has clearly lost his fight after England debacle. With the benefit of hindsight I'm sure the board would have appointed somebody else. But, these are the cards we've been dealt so we need to get behind the team.

'Marco Silva' has top flight experience with both Sporting and Olympiakos.I think his Olympiakos side beat Arsenal 3-2 in the 'Champions League' at the Emirates.

I think Rowett is a good manager and will surely be back in the 'Seat' sooner rather than later.

Allardyce is the right man right now in my view.
He was the right man at the time of his appointment too.
Rowett was never the answer. The right answer would've been Dyche before Pardew was allowed drip feed his poison.

If a club was in our position and Allardyce was a available their supporters would be screaming at their 'Board' to go and get him.

A lot of Brummie fans were pleased with Rowett going, said the football was extremely defensive and dull.

That's why the board went out and got a "progressive" manager. The Zola transition excuse sounds all too familiar.

Rowett is a prime example of someone becoming better without having done much to justify it.

I think the squad was in such disarray that it was irrelevant who we got. My main grievance with the board this season is not getting rid of Pardew sooner, nuts doing it just before the transfer window opens. Either get rid a month earlier or you may as well keep him.

I don't know much about that, however he did sign a lot of forward thinking players, for example Fabbrini,Lafferty,Vaughan,Buckey,Toral,Maghoma, Stewart,Adams.

When Rowett joined Birmingham in 2014-15 they were in the relegation places but they ended up 10th that season.Last season they also finished 10th and this season when he left after 21 games they were 8th.They have now slipped down to 12th so not the best of starts for Zola.Must be that "Transition" !

Sounds like they're willing to ignore how well Rowett did in getting them near the play-offs on a shoestring budget. He's been treated like Sean Dyche was when he was sacked by Watford a few years ago. And look how well Dyche has done since he was sacked.

Me too!
I have just posted similar in the Allardyce out thread without having read this thread!

The trouble is a lot of fans are losing their bottle regarding Allardyce.
He's taken over a sinking ship that he hasn't magically turned around yet.
All of a sudden this manager or that manager would've been better.
I didn't realise the season finished in February.

Added to that, who's Rowett managing now?
Which prem clubs are falling over each other for his services?
