What people say about Wayne on here has absolutely nothing to do with the fans turning on him in bristol tonight.

We're all human, no matter how much money we earn.
Vile Abuse has been aimed at Wayne both on this board by you and your ilk and directly on twitter. Anyone would be affected by that, regardless of how much they earn.

So what! He was sending my team down and he needs to moved on. I don't really care if that hurts his feelings. It's the truth. My feelings are hurt by him each and every week. Where's my Kleenex?
Have a read of this outsiders POV on the situation and you might be able to see the bigger picture a little easier. He's caused untold damage to our club and caused in fighting amongst the fans and created a serious malaise at the club I love. This should have been picked up on by management well well before any of this had to be said by me or any of our fans. I do feel sorry for Wayne as it's not his fault that he was signed and has been played. But enough is enough.

The point is this Brent.
WH is an average standard PL keeper, backed up by statistics.
But he's been unfairly slated on here, and even on holmesdale radio, and especially on twitter where abuse has been aimed directly at him.
Of course WH is going to listen to this and its going to affect his confidence and morale.
I wouldn't blame him if he's had enough of all this and will be looking for a move in January.
Am sure you will be delighted about that, but what if Jules has an absolute stinker on Saturday or gets injured?

Won't play a league game for us again. Rejoice. Praise the lord.

possible the worst keeper relative to the club's level I've seen. Good riddance.

Of course he will. And he'll probably be at least reasonable, if not exactly great.

Sh..t or average, see no point in slating one of our own! Do no good for any player lacking confidence. We were very good yesterday till PVA went mental, then again the whole team went to pieces when confidence disappeared...

another sad day at the office the mans confidence is low and he is getting no luck you need both.
Speroni has only let in 3 goals in 4 games because his confidence hasnt been shot to pieces yet plus luck the defence has played better for him, but also remember either keeper get injured we have no experience cover

He's just nowhere near good enough.

Do you think he is good enough in a one word answer?

I quote from your post 'his appalling goalkeeping recorded which is why we are rock bottom of the league and now out the cup'

You should really read what you post.

No is the answer. I have been asking for us to get another keeper, Heaton would be my choice. However I would not blame an individual for our ills. The whole team last night were rubbish. I don't see how Hennessey was at fault for any of the goals in the same way I didn't see that Speroni was at fault for the goal on Saturday.

If either had saved the respective goals I would have said they were excellent top drawer saves. Unfortunately neither are top drawer keepers.

I am no supporter of WH as my many posts will support but he is not to blame for ALL of our woes.
He is just not good enough and Pulis should never have bought him.
Any scouting system would have watched him for a number of games and his downsides would have shown him not to be that good.
I think he cost £850k?
What top keeper ever cost that in the last few years

Look at the appalling defensive errors before you go blaming him again. I am ashamed to be a Palace fan tonight from what I'm hearing. Who are you going to blame when Speroni messes up again on Saturday - sorry, I forgot, he never makes mistakes.

I am not judging him in on 1 game!

If you are blaming Speroni for the one goal, yes one goal he conceded (harshly) given the circumstances then I will tell you why you shouldn’t.

1) Top servant to the club
2) Defence look more organised
3) He’s 38....
4) He’s back in the team because Wayne is playing s***e
5) His performances recently have resulted in wins or look more “solid”
6) He’s not creating a poisonous atmosphere
7) Dann and Ward look better

Regardless of what happened last night Speroni is a better choice considering what we have. Not a long term solution but fair enough he will try his best to get us out the s*** (AGAIN).

The way BG behaves is abhorrent.

I was at the match. WH was poor. The worst I had seen him. He looked shot before he started. Felt so sorry for him.

However he was no worse than, PVA, Puncheon or Pape. They were more toilet.

He was NOT getting abuse until AFTER the fourth goal and all that was, was cheering when he got the ball.

I was standing right in the line of the shot for the 3rd goal last night. I reacted quicker than him. He was very annoyed with himself not to do better and to be honest so he should be. Only needed a firmer touch and probably wouldn't of gone in. That said PVA 1st goal, a clutch of players dithering around a long throw 2nd and Punch I think awful control near our penalty box 4th, all should hold their heads in shame. Whilst it is fair to swap the team in these type of games you do need some leader at the back to marshal the defence, a real captain unlike Punch last night. Also Sakho is not a forward, he was floating too much out onto the left wing, doing well but nobody was in the box to convert.
