Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Yes it tells me Mandada is going back to France and Speroni is insurance against not getting another keeper in. For the record, and I've said it before, I'm not against a new keeper who is more highly thought of BUT what I am against is some posters, including you, blame him for every goal that we concede. For instance when Barnes (Burnley) wriggled totally clear of our defence and smashed, not side footed, the ball past Hennessy from three yards some clown posts on here it was WH's fault for not stopping it. It's that sort of post that angers me which I will defend WH against.

They're out there and they do make saves from this type of attack. It's the way that WH's sympathisers just concede that there's nothing that can be done to stop these goals all the time that I just don't get. Have a look at the Millwall goalies save at Wembley on the weekend as an example. If Wayne had let that in his supporters would be on here claiming it to have been an unstoppable shot when most of the time they clearly aren't unstoppable. He was stalwart but he was not God.

It just shows how poor our outfield players were at the time, he won.

We all have our opinions but the trouble is YOU will not accept that and bang on about Wayne all the time and make excuses for him every time he f@cks up. For some reason I am beginning to think YOU are Wayne under a different name. I and many others including sports writers, commentators etc cannot all be wrong in our opinion of "butterfingers". He has had a few good games but only a few he is a liability and lost us a shed load of points in his flapping and standing like a statue. I can see why Sam is looking at new goalkeepers we certainly need one that's a fact.
