Hypothetical, perhaps unlikely. But would you take him if we could?

You've starting on the booze early?

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

Nope just hearing West Ham are interested and as it looks unlikely he'll be staying on at United. Said it may be unlikely but it's surely that crazy to suggest he may be available

Why on earth would we want him?

Rooney or Defoe?

Defoe all day long please. Fitter, sharper and cheaper.

He's 32 this year and still has at least 2 seasons In the Prem.

Would I have him at Palace? Yes! Why anyone wouldn't I don't know. He would play in the midfield behind Benteke or something.

Would he come? Na, probably back to Everton.

I would prefer not to have Mr Rooney as a big fish in a small pond. His employment is SE25 would stifle our young talent, who are probably looking forward to learning from Wilfred, Christian, Marmadu, & Luca.

Guys, the man is a English international who is forever going to remain a legend for club and country. He may of dipped recently in form but I would never turn down a player of his calibre joining our team !
