Watford - West Brom
Burnley - Stoke
Leicester - Sunderland
Swansea - Tottenham
Hull - Middlesbrough
Arsenal - West Ham
Liverpool - Bournemouth

put in bold who I Hope to get a result
underlined who I Think will get a result

Made a small adjustment to underline those i think will win rather than italics. This is just a small 'keep an eye out' for the other teams playing midweek and the results that would see us happiest when taking our own game out of the equation.

Obviously our own game is the most important but curious to see how the relegation battle plays out as a whole.

Not sure I understand your bolds and italics.

There are lots of permutations, especially with Swansea away at Wet Spam and Boro at home against Burnley at the weekend. We just need to get the points ourselves and not worry about other results.

That being said, comparing our April with that of Hull:

Palace
Southampton (Away)
Arsenal (Home)
Leicester (Home and in between their 2 CL ties)
Liverpool (Away)
Spurs (Home)
Burnley (Home)

Hull
Boro (Home)
Man City (Away)
Stoke (Away)
Watford (Home)
Southampton (Away)

I'd fancy us to pick up 2 more points than Hull this month to give us a 6 point cushion going into May. Problem then is we have City away while they have Sunderland at home, but they do have Spurs at home on the final day.

Burnley I think could be the ones to end up going down if it's not us.

They have 4 quite tough home games left in Stoke tonight then Manure, WBA and Wet Spam. Their away games are more winnable with us, Boro and Bournemouth still to play but they have a terrible away record.

Ideally I'd love to see Wet Spam go down and they have a few tough games left: Arsenal, Everton, Spurs and Liverpool. Swansea, Stoke, Sunderland and Burnley are all quite winnable though but it means relegation rivals will be taking points off one another. Their game on Saturday against Swansea looks potentially quite big seeing as they both will be odds on to lose in midweek.

Looks like it will be a roller-coaster ride all the way until the end!

Why do you want Sunderland to win?

Speroni would've saved it!

I think the thinking was that Sunderland are goosed no matter what, so if they won it would avail them little but drag Leicester back into the mix. My own view is that a) Leicester are more likely to be abducted by aliens than get relegated and b) if Sunderland won a couple of matches they might put us under more pressure.

Typical.

We are right back in it. Those above have moved further away. We must have a good result at S'hampton!

I dont think we are " right back in it "
I think results went the way as expected tonight
Just imagine if we hadnt won FOUR on the trot
THEN we would have been " in it "
We will be ok

After last night there are probably less teams in the mire.
Tonight will tell whether Southampton are free of trouble or not - hopefully not!
Maybe my 37 points for safety might have been a little premature!

3 or more points from our next 3 games should keep us on track. I'm looking for DDW; perfectly feasible.

Let's face it. If there was one lesson from Chelsea it's that amazing results can and do happen across the division. So there is a huge pointlessness to predicting.

However, Hull have been outstanding at home and remain a huge threat for that reason. If they only won their remaining home games...which I would say they might ... then they'd end with 39.

Which makes previous talk of only "needing 35 this season" look a bit stupid.
