Let's face it. If there was one lesson from Chelsea it's that amazing results can and do happen across the division. So there is a huge pointlessness to predicting.

However, Hull have been outstanding at home and remain a huge threat for that reason. If they only won their remaining home games...which I would say they might ... then they'd end with 39.

That would involved beating Spurs on the final day. Tough ask. Spurs look pretty solid now and don't have the same level of pressure and expectation as last season. I can see Spurs winning all their games but still not winning the league. I can certainly see there being 3 or fewer points in it on the last day and so Spurs needing to win to be in with a chance.

However as another poster said - shocks can and do happen so pointless predicting! If we win tonight I will finally start to think it's more likely than not that we will stay up. Especially if Swansea and West Ham lose and Hull don't win.

I think Spurs are about to hit their wobble zone. I sort of hope they don't as, out of the teams up their, they're the ones I'd like to win the leagues

We've still got a lot to do. We need to have a six point gap on Hull before we play them so then a loss will not put it all on the last game

I think we will have that gap. Others will disagree, but that's football.

A three point gap would be OK going into the Hull game, provided we don't then lose it, but I of course I appreciate that you are painting the 100% safe picture.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I take it you'd enjoy never ever hearing the end of it from the thousands of south London based Spuds fans?

f*** that.

Last season once Spurs were out of the title race they went completely down the bog and started playing like s***e. It would be good if that happened before they came to see us.

With that in mind it would also help if Chelsea went back to tonking everyone and running away with the title because we've already turned them over and anyone else in the bottom half of the table who still has to play them would be onto plums.

This would be the ideal scenario for us. Also Chelsea fans maybe c***s but they've won the title so many times they take it for granted. We don't need Spurs added to the list of gloating c***ish fans to have to put up with on a day to day.

Hopefully, after tonight, we will have some brand new relegation rivals. Namely Southampton and West Ham

I've been looking at the PL form table, based the last six games, for the teams we still have to play.

1 Leicester
2 Spurs
4 Liverpool
5 Man Utd
6 Man City
(7: Palace)
10 Southampton
14 Hull
15 Burnley
16 Arsenal!

However, if you look at the full season away table, Leicester, Hull and Burnley are in the bottom three places, with just two away wins between them.

Glass half full? Or glass half empty?

The right place at the right time

It will go down to the last game of the season for at least 4 clubs .... those that need 3pts and those that just need a 1pt to stay up.

As long as where we safe prior to the last game of the season ... I would have a heart attack going into the last game at Moan Utd.

F*** that
