With the latest results (Burnley's 3 points, Southampton's win and and Bournemouth's draw at Liverpool) it is very likely that 1 of those 3 will go down (hopefully not Palace.)

Realistically, we can expect from the schedule:

Swansea:
At home:
vs Everton 1 point
vs Stoke AND WBA 4 points (Swansea is pretty good at home)

Away:
at United 0
at West Ham 0-1
at Sunderland 1-3 points
at Watford 1 point

Total: 35-38 points

Hull:
At home:
vs Sunderland 3 points
vs Tottenham 0 points
vs Watford 3 points

Away:
at Palace let's just leave this one out for now
at City 0 points
at Southampton 0-1 points
at Stoke 1 point

Total: 37-38 points (without the Palace match)

Crystal Palace:
At home:
vs Arsenal 0 points
vs Tottenham 0 points
vs Leicester 1-3 points
vs Burnley 3 points
vs Hull let's leave this one out

Away:
vs Liverpool, City, United 0 points

Total: 35-37 points (without the Hull match)

If it comes down to the Palace vs Hull match it's going to be extremely hard because from my calculations 3 points will be needed instead of one. And Palace hasn't had a good season when attacking pressuring for the 3 points (the 0-4 loss against Sunderland comes to mind)

It will be hard. Could we hope that Swansea doesn't win any of its games at home and they total less points? Perhaps

agree it's now 1 out of 3.

Hull's impressive home form might keep them up, although away from is woeful.

Swansea not looking great at the moment, which is a relief.

Think we need points out of 1 of the 3 games v Arse, Spurs and Liverpool and at least 4 points from Leicester and Burnley.

If we can get 7 from the above the Hull game will be less stressful!!!

We are still in the best position

Why waste your time, with all this, you cannot predict any game now.
Apart from that West Ham are in the mix.

The big game at the weekend, for us and Hull, is Swansea vs West Ham (and to a lesser extent Boro vs Burnley). The results from those two games, if they go our way, will make a huge difference as we go into a 'less brutal' run of games.

Ideally, a draw in both, or a draw and boro win would be the best outcome.

Neither Hull or us are really expecting to pick up points in our next game. But those four have to.

Big time, and playing Swansea on Saturday - Essentially a six pointer. West Ham's form has been in a free fall of late.

This is correct. Who'd have predicted a win at Chelsea and a loss at Southampton or that we'd be top of the injury table? We need to keep gathering as many points as we can because we've no idea what other teams are going to do or how many points we may need for safety.

Id actually say West Hams form is the worst out of the 4 teams. They could fall right down!

Ah, you clearly underestimate mattteo's belief that he is a football oracle

I would use another term!

Did he predict our win at Chelsea?

I agree that it's a bit futile to predict what'll happen, but quite good fun nonetheless (even if it does result in a slight loosening of the bowel).

I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody in that Leicester-to-West Ham range losing their next 3 and finding themselves right down in the dogfight with the three mentioned. West Ham in particular have turned to s*** and long may it continue.

Our own destiny will depend on how fast our injuries clear up to key men.

Bournemouth have two more tough games up next, then they play a lot of teams at the bottom. That could be great for them, or it could mean they get sucked back in.
