I'm no Sam Allardyce but the plan was to not allow Alli and Eriksen on the ball in the centre of the park, but instead to allow Davies and Walker acres of space to put balls in?

No, but it was the full backs job to keep tight with the centre-backs. It was Zaha and Townsend's job to track their wing-backs. As long as the central area was compact it wasn't such an issue to have them forced through the sides and crossing because Kane would find himself in between a tight diamond of Sakho, Kelly, Luka and Hennessey.

But you'll note we didn't just want to camp in our box, we tried to press like we haven't seen much under Allardyce. He must have thought we could allow them the constant pressure. Having McArthur on allowed us to press. In the second half we ran out of legs.

When this club had defended successfully in this league, it's been through forcing teams to pass side to side and out wide. The whole problem with the Pardew era was how easily we were carved open centrally.

And the one time Eriksen got the ball in the middle of the park with time and space...

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

He luckily managed to get the ball through the masses ofdefenders all crowded around the centre circle!

Puncheon didn't drop back into position until too late. I wonder if Sakho was there if Punch would have got the call to drop back...but that's if and buts.

I've been watching him from the middle of the main stand so tend to get quite a close view of his attacking (and overall) ability over a half. I'm not convinced at all about his technical ability - he almost seems Championship level. Very poor distribution, scuffs passes, generally runs one way and over dribbles, and never seems to pass successfully to a team mate in a counter attack.

That said, he seems good enough from a defensive point of view but definitely unconvinced. Still, let's give the lad sometime under big Sam to show what he can do.

The worst Allardyce signing by a country mile. He's a rabbit in the headlights with the ball and positionally weak defensively. His pace is a big help though.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Leicester fans pretty much said word for word what you lot are saying when he was sold on their forum. They couldn't quite believe they got £14mill for a reserve whom they like but didn't really rate. I mean, £14mill? That makes him our record signing in 112 years of existence.....if we ignore Benteke
