It seemed yesterday by Sakho's comments that he wants to play elsewhere
And fair enough to him
He's world class , we saw that , he deserves a top top club .
Sam will work it out whats needed , and we will be a better football club for it .
Looking forward to the next few years IF we can keep Sam I think he will bring premier league stability

How do to come to that conclusion. I personally see it as if he wants to stay. He loved here by the fans , management squad and chairman. Without Crystal Palace taking him on loan he'd be in the wilderness. Klopp didn't fancy him. Would he have been motivated playing for their u23s I think not.

Liverpool want 30 million, plus his wages, this would be a very expensive, but massive signing. The link is the latest on the move.

What comments?

Agree about Sam. His experience and expertise will see us through the next few seasons, as long as we keep faith with him and give him what he needs in the market to keep us competitive.

everything I've ready online points to him wanting to sign for us, not one article has led me believe he'll go elsewhere.

not saying he wont, perhaps he'll go to Italy or Southampton etc, but from online sources, I've seen nothing..

Nothing to suggest he wants out, nobody is going to pay Liverpools asking price of £30 million considering United paid £30 million for Bailly and Chelsea paid about the same for Luiz

£30m plus high wages is a lot of cash. I think we could maybe swing it if he wants to come here but how much would it affect bringing in the other players we need? Would it mean Sam has to bring in fewer players than he feels we need or would he have to lower his sights quality wise to get the numbers? Neither of these options are very appealing.

For him personally I see all the indications that he wants to sign for us. He seems happier and more settled than ever and he has the love of the club from fans to staff to chairman.

The only difficulty is whether SP will be able to convince the board to all sit down and write cheques that will finance the deal without limiting our other actions in the window. From SPs comments it sounds like the ball is in our court, we just have to work out if we can afford it.

He would be a helluva signing but we need 4 more players that will no doubt cost a bomb as well, not least RB which is in desperate need of an upgrade.

We've seen quite clearly lately what can happen if we're depleted of cover when it comes to central defence. We turn to s***e. So if we're considering cost, what's the cost of relegation?

His worth at least 30million I would pay it if it wasn't for sakho we would of been relegated and the cost of staying in the premiership is worth at least 150million to palace

everton's defense is rubbish. they have money and europe. could be tough to beat. could probably help MU as well but they won't think he's good enough.

He is awesome but - injury crisis notwithstanding - CB would be a crowded position with Mamou added permanently. Would that mean that Dann would be moved on to defray some of the cost?

I'd be ok with that, although Sakho, Tomkins and Kelly (with Delaney retiring) might suddenly look a little thin. However, he makes everyone around him better, so it's the equivalent of an upgrade at RB and GK too!

Pay Mamou. Pay Wilf. Let all the other chips fall where they may.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
