Monk was hardly an out and out success at Swansea before he was sacked and as Simon Jordan claims, was a 'choker' in the Championship. Stam is uncharted territory and so, with his unrivalled track record of success and experience both home and abroad, would not be disappointed if Roy Hodgson was appointed amid some mediocre names in the frame.

My advice would be to read the Steve Parish interview thread to sober up some thinking to the possible new managers being mentioned here. Honest indication where the club is at the moment.

i would only trust Hodgson if he was supported by a team of experts and he did defer important decisions to them.
