Cant really say I'll be overly excited if Silva is appointed. I'll back him regardless though. This would either be a shrewd appointment, or another disaster come Christmas.

Hes's still the manager that conceded 11 goals in last 2. They conceded a lot of goals from set pieces included when silva been in charge(not another pardew). 2 clean sheets in 14games. The pulis and Sam stint proves we need a solid structure. He's all results achieved at hull in the prem:- Jan 14th W 3-1 b'mouth - home They conceded 35 in 1i games He may of had a poor squad to work with but trying to outscore the opponent isn't what we do successfully.

According to the media each newspaper or blog seems to have a different person as our number one target with the Serbian manager of Fulham (who's name I've forgotten) now top of the pops with a few of them.

Not seen much of Fulham, they play great football....is this what we want? Seriously I would worry about him defensively, all our success comes when we set up defensively and counter. Pardew mucked about with the style and look how that turned out.

Was just about to say that he hasn't experienced the Premier league etc but forgot that he'd managed Watford to 13th (Wikipedia helped me out) in a season that they favourites to be relegated so I guess he has some experience of where we expect to be, albeit not favourites to be relegated but between 8th and 14th is realistic.

Silva is now free from Hull, and I guess its probably a choice between Palace and Watford? Palace probably have the better squad and I think Palace would love a manager to stick around for 3 seasons or so to help them consolidate in the PL? Silva made a big impact at Hull in a short period of time, and it would be great if he could do the same at Palace. He might have a few european players up his sleeve in the transfer season, and know enough about the PL to make good decisions as to what players Palace should let go, sign up, renew contracts etc. Could be a good fit.
