It was New Labour, which is basically the same mentality as the conservatives. A movement in Labour that proved so popular that Corbyn has won two leadership elections. I understand where the Tories are coming from. Most of the services they privatised, weren't significant to their voters, other than the chance to make a buck off of them. The core Tory voters don't get the same value out of public services that traditional labour voters do. Its as short sited as New Labours f**king PFI's, good for the short term when you're in office and need to show an improvement, but f**king terrible for the long term when you actually have to fulfil social duty and obligations. Not everything can be 'run as a business' or have a simple fiscal value put on it. It doesn't matter which party is in government the principle is EXACTLY THE SAME just the acronym changes!

I think that you'll find that Corbyn's leadership victories owes more to the changes in the way that leadership elections are held than anything else
