I have a feeling that the lad used to be a goalkeeper when he was in his teens but switched to playing up front.Seen him take good free kicks over a wall and I understand he has a good record from the penalty spot.Certainly a big physical lad who is good in the air.Uwe Rosler signed him for Leeds.

Saw him a couple of times this year, and he has been the best striker Leeds have had in a while. There was talk of 20m bids for him coming this summer, but not sure he's too much of an upgrade on Wickham tbh.

think it would be a waste of resources...benteke & wickham & hopefully kai-kai...if have to lets get one in in loan not spunk what will be an awful anount of money for a bench warmer with 1 good championship season behind him

Wickham is crocked. We have lost Campbell and remy and need a couple of decent back up strikers.

Being a Kiwi, I see a fair bit of Woody. Unfortunately he's one of those classic 'awesome in the Championship, not quite good enough for Prem' type players. A bit like Murray. Reasonably strong, good in the air...but nowhere near as good as Benteke or Wickham. If he's happy to play 3rd fiddle, then fine. But I'd faint If I heard we splashed anywhere near 20mil for him.

Dependant on how long Wickham is going to be crocked for we may well use the loan market for a backup striker but presumably not if he is still going to be out for a while
