If Frank De Boer is confirmed I wonder who he will bring to his backroom staff. Bergkamp is a real possibility alongside his brother Ronald.

I just mentioned Ronald as a possibility on another thread. I would like to think him and Sammy Lee could work well together as I have a lot of time for him and think he gave everyone a lift when he arrived.

I honestly think Parishs hands on approach covers that roll and he wouldn't want to step back. So far I think we'd all agree its working. Academy boss, I'd agree the academy needs attention and hopefully we've hit the jack pot in appointing Frank. Although I disagree that we'll have to wait ten years to see rewards. Yes we may have to wait ten years for a current ten year old to break through obviously. But there's plenty of age groups and many come and go at all levels. Being able to tap in to Franks huge knowledge of the set up at Ajax will be massive! Massive! When he took over at Ajax I read they were in a real mess and he targeted youth to turn them around. If word gets out we want to promote heavily from within our ranks then surely it won't take long to attract talent, have Frank to oversea the change in nurturing that's required and reap the rewards. Wasn't it only a month ago Parish said we have potentially 3 midfielders the club want to see get a chance and not have their route blocked. Sorry to be a bitch and I don't want to fall out. But I do find it frustrating and negative when reading it's doom and gloom ten years away from producing players etc etc. It surely isn't and with Frank leading the coaching then surely the academy will be addressed and benefit.

The article says that Parish was keen to keep Sammy so may have been part of the deal
